Thanksgiving we spent in Roswell with Bert's parents and Grandparents! The kids had a great time chasing cows and playing around the farm!

December 17 was Drake's 3rd birthday! We celebrated at the Science Spectrum in Lubbock!

Christmas this year we had a big snow! The kids loved playing in it!

For Christmas this year we stayed home and Papa came to help us celebrate! We had so much fun watching the kids open their gifts!!

My First Christmas!

So after being gone from Texas since 2006, the Maples family is back! We moved to Littlefield Texas in January 2011 and are loving it! A lot has happened this year with moving and buying a house, having a baby, celebrating birthdays and lots of holidays!

St. Patrick's Day 2010!

We have been in Kansas now for almost two months. So far we really like it. We have already gotten involved in the community and are meeting so really great people. The kids seem to love it, they have seen the Zoo, the children's museum, several parks, and they swim at the YMCA.

Bert is really liking his new job. He works less hours than he did in McCook so seeing him more as been nice! With summer soon approaching I'm sure his hours will be longer but we are enjoying him home more now.

Whitney is doing well, she loves her gymnastics class. She goes once a week and is such a cute little gymnast! She loves to swim and be outside and her new favorite character is Buzz Lightyear so we hear a lot about Buzz.

Drake is also doing well. He is cutting lots of teeth and is so outgoing. He fears nothing so that has given me a mini heart attack a few times. Yesterday he decided to hide from me and after a few minutes of panicking I found him giggling in the back of Whitney's closet! Boys!

I am loving Kansas although missing my friends back in Nebraska! I have met some really nice people here and have been working out regularly at the YMCA. Bert and I are signed up to take a class on Monday nights there next month, wish us luck!!

September 1st 2009 we finalized Drake's adoption!! He is finally a Maples!! The day was full of family and friends and we had a great day!!
