Adoption Day is on its way!

She took her first nap in her crib and did well. We are getting ready for the transition soon.


Things are now moving fast for Whitney's adoption. Yesterday her bio mom and dad signed the relinquishment papers giving up their rights to her. We were shocked that it happened yesterday but so excited! Today Bert and I both signed the letter of intent to adopt Whitney. Its all becoming so real. We are now waiting for the Adoption Worker to take the relinquishment papers and the letter of intent to the Judge and get this adoption under way. We are hoping to have her adopted by May or June! Today we also received some very special pictures of Whitney when she was in the hospital after she was born, of her bio parents, of her grandparents and her great grandparents. We have started an adoption baby book for Whitney and to be able to add those pictures to it is just so special to us.

We will be in Lubbock Texas next weekend for Dad's birthday party and we hope to get to see as many of you as we can.
