We went to Texas to see family and celebrate Dad's birthday and Whitney ended up in the hospital. Thursday night Whitney started to feel bad, had a fever and we noticed that her button was leaking. (Her button is what the feeding tube attaches to.) So Aunt Becca, Whitney and Mommy headed off to the ER. After many hours of waiting we were finally admitted to the hospital for observation and to see the Pediatric Surgeon. Thanks to the wonderful Doctors, Surgeon and Nurses our stay at UMC was really great. Right away the Ped. Surgeon knew exactly what was wrong, Whitney's button was broken and had been since before she came to our home and it was a size too big. So the button was replaced and now Whitney is doing great. We are so thankful that we were in Texas when that happened and that we got to see the BEST Pediatric Surgeon around. And we are so thankful to Aunt Becca who not only stayed with us the whole stay (about 22 hrs without sleep) but she knew the Doctors and all the medical stuff so it was such a relief having her there.
